
Toyota has launched today the re-designed 2010 Toyota Wish for the Japanese domestic market. This compact seven-seater minivan offers two different engine versions: a 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter engine, both with Valvematic (a continuously variable valve-lift mechanism). The 1.8-liter version sports 142hp and 130 lb-ft of torque, meanwhile the 2.0-liter version offers 158hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated with a 7-speed Sports Sequential Shiftmatic transmission as standard that offers two operating modes CVT Sport Mode and Dynamic Sport Mode.
