Dr. Dre has joined together with Chrysler to add the “Beats by Dr. Dre” audio system to the 2012 Dodge Charger. The audio system comprises of a trio of 3.5-inch speakers located in the instrument panel, a pair of 3.5-inch speakers located in the rear doors, two 6-inch x 9-inch front-door woofers, two 6-inch x 9-inch speakers and a center-mounted 8-inch speaker located in the rear-shelf area and an 8-inch Beats Audio trunk-mounted dual-voice coil sub-woofer. Suzuki has showed off the special edition version of its Grand Vitara called the Grand Vitara SZ-T. Based on the widely popular 5-door 1.9 DdiS, this SUV comes with a new front grille, a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels, Silver painted roof rails and Silver painted bonnet vents, turn signals embedded in the side-view mirrors, color contrasting trimmings and a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate. Limited to just 500 units, the Grand Vitara SZ-T will hit showrooms this week for a starting price of 22,315 GBP / $34,420 in five metallic body finishes: Quasar Grey, Silky Silver, Blueish Black Pearl, Phoenix Red Pearl and Nocturne Blue Pearl. Volvo will unveil its XC60 plug-in hybrid concept at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. The car uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine that powers the front wheels and an electric motor that drives the rear wheels. This engine combination produces a 350 horse power, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-60 Mph in only 5.8 seconds. The Volvo XC60 also features an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 12 kWh battery that is located beneath the cargo area. [MotorTrend]
DC Design has recently issued the first teaser image of their latest supercar concept. Weighing 3,440 lbs (1,560 kg), the concept car will be powered by a turbocharged, Honda-sourced V6 engine that produces 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS). The carmaker will introduce this supercar at the Delhi Auto Expo. Folks in India will be able to buy the production model of this supercar in late 2013 for 30 lakh rupees ($56,277). [WorldCarFans]
