Land Rover has announced the availability of their new crossover ‘Range Rover Evoque’ in India. Available in both five-door and three-door versions, the Range Rover Evoque is being offered in three different trim levels including Pure, Prestige and Dynamic along with two different engine options: a 2.0-liter 240 hp gasoline unit and a 2.2-liter 190 hp turbodiesel unit. Renault has introduced their newest city car ‘Pulse’ for the Indian market. Based on the same platform as the Nissan Micra, the Pulse is equipped with a 1.5-liter dCi diesel engine that produces 61 PS and 160 Nm of torque. The Italian based automaker Fiat has unveiled the all-new 2012 Sedici. The car is powered by a 1.6 liter 16v engine that produces 118 horsepower. There is also a diesel model that comes with the 2.0 liter Multijet engine, producing 133 horsepower. The Varley evR450 is known as Australia’s first electric supercar. This full electric supercar is powered by a high-performance electric motor that enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds. The supercar has a top speed of 200km/h (electronically limited) with a range of 150km with a standard battery or 300km with a range-extension battery pack. BYD has announced the availability of the e6 all-electric crossover vehicle. This five-passenger car is the first all-electric vehicle for sale to consumers in China. The BYD e6 is powered by the company’s Iron-Phosphate (or “FE”) batteries, providing a driving range of over 190 miles or around 300 Km. The BYD e6 is priced at 249,800 RMB or around $38,430. The Merdad Collection has recently released the styling package for the Range Rover Evoque.
