Suzuki Swift Plug-In Hybrid Unveiled

Suzuki has recently unveiled the first details about its upcoming Swift Plug-In Hybrid. The car uses a compact 660cc petrol engine paired with a generator which is used to charge the lithium-ion battery in case the capacity level drops. The car can also be charged using a standard home electrical outlet in addition to the onboard gasoline generator. 2010 Subaru Legacy Tourer UK Pricing Revealed

Japanese carmaker Subaru has just announced the price list of the newly launched 2010 Legacy Tourer for the UK market. The company offers two different engine options: a 2.0-liter diesel unit mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission or a 2.5-liter petrol unit mated to the new in-house developed ‘Lineartronic’ automatic transmission. Pricing itself starts at £23,295 (about $37,400) for the 2.0D S, and goes up to £27,295 (about $43,824) for the 2.5i SE NavPlus Lineartronic. [Autoevolution]

2010 Lotus Exige S240 Upgraded

The 2010 Lotus Exige S240 has been revised and upgraded with a new front splitter, larger intakes and a higher wing. These upgrades is also to improve aerodynamic performance of the car itself. The 2010 Lotus Exige S240 uses a supercharged Toyota 2ZZ-GE 1.8-liter engine that generates 240 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 170 pound-feet of torque at 5,500 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 to 60mph in only 4.1-seconds with a top speed of 150mph. The new 2010 Lotus Exige S240 will be released in the US and Canadian markets in the fall of 2009. [Jalopnik]

TopCar Bentley Continental GT Bullet

Russian-based tuner, TopCar has released a new exterior upgrade package ‘Bullet’ for the Bentley Continental GT. The kit includes a new bonnet with additional air intakes, a new front grille, a new front bumper with LED day-time running lights, front bumper lip, tinted front and rear lights, two composite side skirts with additional air inlets, rear bumper and diffuser, rear wing, exhaust tips, black window frames and lower side moldings. The price for the package starts at 25,000 Euro (about $36,440) or 30,000 Euro (about $43,728) with carbon fiber parts and forged wheels. More»

Chrysler To Facelift Five Models By Mid-2011

Chrysler will launch five major “facelifts” of key vehicles in its lineup. Some of vehicles that are slated for redesign include the Dodge Caliber, Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot, Chrysler Town & Country, and Dodge Caravan. The Chrysler 300 and Jeep Grand Cherokee have been redesigned for the 2011 model year and should arrive some time next year. Meanwhile, the Dodge Charger will also be restyled for 2011 release. Land Rover's Two-Door 'LRX' Confirmed

Land Rover’s officially confirmed that they will build a production version of the Land Rover LRX coupe concept. The new two-door car will be built in the Halewood plant in Liverpool.
