
BMW has entered the electric car market by releasing the i3 all-electric small city car and i8 hybrid sports car. Both cars are constructed with lightweight aluminum structures and carbon fiber bodies. BMW claims that the i3 will be able to travel for up to 95 miles on a single charge. Too bad, the BMW i8 is limited at only 21 miles using only its electric engine. The BMW i3 will be launched in 2013. while the BMW i8 in 2014. Watch the video after the jump. More»

LUMMA Design has unveiled their latest styling and performance packages for the BMW X6. Outside, the car gets a new aerodynamic kit consisting of a front spoiler bumper with rather enlarged air inlets, side skirts, double lamps in LED technology, LED day running lights, headlight ‘eye brows’, mirror hatches, a rear spoiler lip and a sportive look engine bonnet, made in carbon. The tuned X6 also stands on LUMMA Racing CLR 22 in 10j x 22″ and 12J x 22″ fitted with tires in 295/30 R22 in front and 335/25 R22 at the rear. Underneath, the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged petrol engine has also been upgraded to produce 340PS and 670NM of torque. Pricing info is still unknown at the moment. [AR]

Check out the latest performance package ‘SK II “Sporty Drive” Supercharger Kit’ for the BMW M3 E92 by G-Power. Having this new power upgrade kit, the 4.0-liter V8 engine can now produce 570PS (419 kW) and 565NM (417 lb-ft), allowing the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 333 km/h. G-Power also equips the car with a high-performance brake system, a GM3 RS coilover suspension and a set of Silverstone alloy wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport road tires. edo has recently released their latest styling and performance packages for the BMW M5. Dubbed as the BMW M5 Dark Edition, the car is equipped with a new aerodynamic package that uses a discreet appearance and receives a set of 20-inch lightweight alloy rims wrapped in Dunlop tires (255/35 R20 fronts, 285/30 R20 rears). Under the hood, the naturally aspirated 5-liter V10 engine gets a new power upgrade kit consisting of new air filters, catalytic converters, a custom exhaust system and a new ECU map. Having this new power upgrade kit, the engine can now produce 555 hp and a peak torque of 560 Nm, allowing the car to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph. Here are the official images of the upcoming 2012 BMW M5. According to German auto magazine AutoZeitung, the 2012 BMW M5 will feature a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine producing 418kW of power and 680Nm of torque. Meanwhile, top speed will be rated at 305 km/h with 0-100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. The 2012 BMW M5 is expected to have a starting price of around 100,000 Euro (about $141,820) in Germany.
