
Designer Marcos Beltrao has designed the Hybrid XSeed. The concept car features a 1600cc four-cylinder engine with electric thrusters on each wheel. This engine configuration produces an output of 225 horsepower, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 4.5 seconds. Chevrolet and Hot Wheels have joined together to design the Camaro Hot Wheels Concept. The concept car is currently on display at 2011 SEMA show. Inspired by the original 16 Hot Wheels cars from 1968, the Camaro Hot Wheels Concept features the “Over Chrome Green” scheme. Opel and Vauxhall have recently unveiled the RAK e battery-powered electric car at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Weighing only 380 kg, this two-seat electric vehicle uses a 50PS (36.5kW/ 49hp) electric motor, which is powered by a 5 kWh battery. The Opel RAK e accelerates from 0 to 120km/h (75mph) in less than 13 seconds with an estimated top speed of 120km/h (75mph). [Autoblog]

The new Volvo Concept You has been unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car features a large control center on the dashboard that consists of four main areas such as a digital Driver Information Monitor, a head-up display on the windscreen, a touch screen on the upper part of the center console, and a touch screen between the two individual rear seats. There are also integrated touchscreens on the wood/leather steering wheel. Smart will unveiled the ForVision electric concept car at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. Designed and developed in collaboration with BASF, the concept features organic photovoltaic solar cells on the roof that generate enough energy to power the car’s multimedia components and the climate control feature.
