We here at TechFresh Network are very much into gaming, but apparently not as much as the French are. For which they’re taking the virtual racer “GTbyCITROËN” from the hit Playstation 3 game Gran Turismo 5 into reality. This design has a georgeous rear-end (read: large butt) with meticulous design, claimed to create an effect of “retinal persistence”. The idea is to make the concept car looks visually faster, with streamlined white-to-grey gradation on the body to further emphasize continuous movement. This could easily pass as a motorbike but since they call it a car and since we love all things concept-ey and cool this is definitely news. Designed for a single passenger this works mainly through articulation. It’s able to give you trip information in full detail and reacts through voice command, and best is that it can compact itself during high traffic and low speeds. If speed, comfort, space and cool are your thing this could be your next vehicle. That is if they ever bring this into production. [Tuvie]

Pininfarina will unveil a new Special Project carrozzeria during Pebble Beach Concours. The project, named “Pininfarina Hyperion”, is based on a Rolls Royce Drophead Coupè. The car is actually made for private client who has commissioned the car, and has agreed to display the latest Pininfarina creation at the prestigious American event. [Pininfarina]
