
Ford has just introduced the all new 2012 Ford Focus ECOnetic. This fuel-efficient car is equipped with a 1.6-liter ECOnetic diesel engine (w/ Ford’s six-speed Durashift manual transmission) that outputs a total of 105PS. The car also incorporates a full range of Ford ECOnetic Technologies which include Ford Auto-Start-Stop, Smart Regenerative Charging, Ford Eco Mode and Shift Indicator Light. Ford is reportedly preparing to showcase their newest concept car at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. Called the B-MAX, this small MVP is said to come in a range of small, fuel-efficient petrol and diesel engines, with the smallest of the range will be a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine paired to a stop/start system. The car will also have van-like features including sliding rear doors and a large panoramic glass roof. Ford has introduced another limited edition car called the Fiesta Sport Plus. Based on the three-door Fiesta, this compact car is equipped with a new aerodynamic body kit which includes a fresh front apron, new side skirts, a generously-sized rear diffuser, a rear spoiler, a new twin-design tailpipe and a set of 17-inch lightweight alloy rims. Under the hood, the car is powered by a revised 1.6 liter, Duratec Ti-VCT petrol engine that generates 134 hp and 160 Nm of torque, allowing the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.7 seconds with a top speed of 195 km/h. Ford today unveiled the new 2011 Ford Fiesta WRC with its new color scheme. This car is based on the Fiesta S2000 rally car that managed to win the Monte Carlo Rally in January 2010. The 2011 Ford Fiesta WRC is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, which is actually based on the company’s EcoBoost road vehicle engine.
