Ford has recently showcased their latest concept car at the Beijing Auto Show. Called the Start, this compact car uses a 1-liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost gasoline engine coupled to a five speed manual transmission, which Ford claims delivers the same amount of power and torque as a normally aspirated 1.6-liter I4 powerplant. Ford Fiesta S1600

Ford has recently released a special edition version of its Fiesta in the UK called the Fiesta S1600. Based on the popular Fiesta Zetec-S, the car is offered in two different paint jobs, either Frozen White or Performance Blue, with contrasting motorsport stripes and comes with a special exterior styling package that includes a unique front bumper with flared lower valence panel, extended side skirts, large rear spoiler and rear diffuser, and 17-inch white alloy wheels. Inside, the car gets heated, stitched leather sports seats, standard side-airbags, leather steering wheel, handbrake cover and gearknob, plus Motorsport-branded floor mats and cuff plates. Finally, power comes from a 1.6-liter Duratec Ti-VCT petrol engine that outputs a total of 120 hp. Limited to just 650 units, the Ford Fiesta S1600 is sold for a starting price of 16,645 GBP (about $25,605). More»

Ford Focus RS500

The limited edition 345 horsepower Ford Focus RS500 three-door hatchback was completely sold out within 12 hours of its official reveal. The matte-black hatch will use a tuned version of the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that produces 345 horsepower (257kW, 350PS) and up to 460Nm (339lb-ft) of torque. The car reaches 100km/h in 5.6 seconds with a top speed of 265km/h (165mph). [LeftLaneNews]

2011 Ford Focus

2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0

2011 Ford Mustang GT

The 2011 version of Ford Mustang GT 5.0 is powered by a new 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 412 horsepower and 390 ft.-lb. of torque, compared to the outgoing 2010 Ford Mustang GT 4.6-liter V8′s, 315HP and 325 lb-ft. The new 5.0-liter Mustangs also replace the previous GT’s five-speed transmissions with either the 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission or the MT82 six-speed manual gearbox. Other updates include the 5.0 fender badges, the speedometer that increases to 160 mph and the tachometer redline that climbs from 6,500 to 7,000 rpm.
