
Hyundai will release the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (FCEV) in 2012. With a plan to sell 1000 units in 2013, the company already claims to sell 10,000 units by 2015, when Toyota will only have made its first delivers. Hyundai is ready to release the RB Concept, 2011 Elantra and Veloster sports coupe within the next year. The RB Concept will come to the United States as the next-generation Accent and will go on sale in mid-2011. At the 2010 LA Auto Show, Hyundai will unveil the redesigned Elantra. That model will be based on the recently unveiled 2011 Hyundai Avante. The company will also unveil the new front-wheel-drive Veloster sports coupe in January 2011. Hyundai today introduced the local market version of its new Sonata sedan at the Moscow motor show. The sedan will be available in a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol producing 150HP and 198Nm of torque, and a 2.4-liter four-banger rated at 178-horsepower and 228Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, with a six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC manual control offered as an option. The all-new 2011 Hyundai Avante (Elantra) has just been unveiled at the Busan International Motor Show 2010 in South Korea. This compact sedan comes with a number of advanced features not found on other compacts, including HID (high Intensity Discharge) headlamps, LED combination lamps in the rear, heated rear seats, puddle lamps and a color TFT LCD information display nestled in the gauge cluster. Underneath, power comes from a new 1.6-liter Gamma GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engine paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission that produces 140 hp and 166Nm of peak torque. South Korean automaker Hyundai has introduced the North American version of its all-new 2011 Equus at the New York Auto Show. As a competitor to the Lexus LS 460 and Mercedes-Benz S 550, the Equus will launch in the U.S. this summer with a starting price in the mid $50,000 range.
