
Jaguar UK has decided to recall over 17,500 X-Type range due to a fault in the engine management control software. It affects cars made between 2006 and 2010 with diesel engines. Jaguar will release a cabriolet version of their 2012 XKR-S early next year. The XKR-S cabrio will be powered by a 5-liter supercharged V8 engine, with an output of 550PS and 680Nm of torque. Word has it that the cabriolet version of the XKR-S can get from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 186mph (300km/h). Jaguar engineer Andrew Whyman has confirmed that the Jaguar XF Estate is currently under development. Unfortunately, he didn’t mention when the station wagon will be released. Jaguar has unveiled the 2012 XF at the New York Auto Show. Inspired by the XJ, the updated model features a new front fascia which incorporates a revised grille and bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. The Jaguar XF is powered by a new 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel that produces 190PS (140 kW/ 187 hp) and 450 Nm (332lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, hit a top speed of 225km/h (140 mph), and average 52.3 mpg UK (5.4 L/100km/ 43.5 mpg US) with CO2 emissions of 149g/km.
