
Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed that the new 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series will go on sale in Australia in April 2012. Limited to just 35 units, this sports car will be sold for $245,000 (before on-road costs). Kicherer today introduced a new tuning kit for the Mercedes-Benz C63 T AMG Supersport. The kit consists of an engine modification and a carbon-fiber aerodynamic kit. The German tuning company adds more power output to the series’ 6.3-liter (6208cc) V8 engine, producing 550PS (405kW/ 542hp) and 640Nm (472lb-ft) of torque. The upgraded engine enables the Mercedes-Benz C63 T AMG Supersport to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 320km/h (199mph). Kicherer also adds a front spoiler with flaps, widened arches, a side sill set, rear diffuser, new front grille and side-mirror shells, which are part of the carbon-fiber aerodynamic kit. Mercedes-Benz has recently unveiled their newest compact sports tourer, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class. Scheduled to make its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, the B-Class comes in four different engine options including two petrols (1.6-liter with 121 hp and 200 Nm of torque or 154 hp and 250 Nm of torque) and two diesels (1.8-liter with 107 hp and 250 Nm of torque or 134 hp and 300 Nm of torque). Mercedes-Benz has introduced their newest roadster namely the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK 250 CDI. This compact vehicle is powered by a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine paired to a 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission, capable of producing 204PS and 500Nm of torque. Performance-wise, the car has a top speed of 243 km/h with 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds.
