The 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster will make its U.S. debut in Fall 2011. The new dream car features an aluminum spaceframe body, an AMG 6.3-liter V8 front-mid engine with dry sump lubrication developing a peak output of 563hp and 479 pound-feet of torque, a seven-speed dual clutch transaxle transmission and a sports suspension with aluminum double wishbones. German tuner McChip has recently unleashed their latest performance package ‘Stage 3 kit’ for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. The package consists of a new Cargraphic exhaust system and ECU reprogramming. With this aftermarket mods, the 6.3-liter V8 engine can now produce 583 hp and 692 Nm of torque with top speed of 310 km/h. The Stage 3 kit is priced at 10,000 Euro (about $14,200) or 17,474 Euro (about $24,709) which includes a set of matte black 19-inch alloy rims with Michelin tires. [GlobalMotors]
Mercedes has introduced the SLS AMG emergency medical car at the 2011 RETTmobil show. The SLS medical vehicle will features a special “Emergency” livery, together with special ambulance style roof lights. Piecha Design has recently unveiled their latest styling package ‘Accurian RS’ for the 2012 Mercedes SLK R172. The car gets a new aerodynamic kit which consists of an Accurian RS front spoiler lip with lateral grids, Accurian RS side skirt covers, Accurian RS sills with LED lighting units, a revised rear apron, a new diffuser, a trunk-mounted spoiler and a four-tailpipe sport exhaust system. The car has also received a new set of alloy wheels with dimensions 8.5J x 19″ ET25 with 225/35 R19 tires at the front and optional 9.5J or 10.5J x 19″ with 255 or 275/30 R19 tires at the rear. Inden Design has unveiled their latest styling and performance packages for the Mercedes SL65 AMG. Outside, the car gets a Black Series bodykit, a carbon fiber wing and a set of 20-inch lightweight alloy rims that use 265/30 tires for the front axle and 325/25 tires for the rear one. As for the engine, the 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 powerplant has also been upgraded to produce 680 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing yet. [Autoevolution]
