Speedriven has unleashed their latest performance package for the Mercedes-Benz S600. Priced at $8,840 (excluding installation costs), the package consists of water-air-intercoolers, high-flow air induction kits and a revised engine computer. Having this new performance package under the hood, the 5.5-liter V12 twin-turbo engine can now produce 518kW of power and 1138Nm of torque (an increase of 138kW and 308Nm), allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 in under four seconds. Fifth Gear has launched the Skoda Superb Combi VS Mercedes E Class Estate video. FYI, the engine options of the Skoda Superb Combi include a 1.4 TSI 125bhp, a 1.8 TSI 160bhp and a 3.6 FSI V6 360bhp. For the diesel oriented customers, the Skoda Superb Combi will be available with a 2.0 TDI PD 103 kW or a 2.0 TDI CR DPF 125 kW diesel engine. The Mercedes E Class Estate is available in five engine variants, including three diesel and two petrol models (the E220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, the E250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, the E350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, the E350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY and the E500). The German tuner BRABUS has unveiled their latest styling package for the Mercedes SLS AMG. Dubbed as the Widestar Mercedes SLS AMG, this supercar gets a new carbon fiber body kit which includes a front spoiler, a rear spoiler, a rear diffuser, wide body paneling for the fenders featuring air dams and side outlets. As for the interior, the car receives carbon fiber trimming, matte anodized aluminum pedals, a new steering wheel and a new speedometer. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing yet. More»
Mercedes-Benz has recently launched their newest multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in Australia, the 2011 Mercedes-Benz R 300 CDI. This short wheel base vehicle comes with a new grille, fully integrated, rectangular Bi-Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a new rear bumper, modified taillights and a set of 20-inch 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels. Under the hood, the car is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine coupled to a 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission capable of producing 140kW and 440Nm of torque. Mercedes-Benz Australia has made a new announcement that the all new Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG will arrive in Australia in the second quarter of next year. For your info, this luxurious car will be powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that boasts 386kW and 700Nm of torque. The Mercedes-Benz SLK has a slick, auto-retracting roof known as the Vario-Roof. The 2012 model will have a new $2,800 option called the Magic Sky Control, which will allow the glass roof to be made either transparent or darkened at the push of a button. The Magic Sky Control roof is embedded with tiny particles that either align under voltage to allow light to pass through, or randomly scramble to make it opaque. [eMercedesBenz]
