
Mitsubishi has just announced the availability of their new 2011 Mitsubishi Pajero in Australia. This mid-sized SUV is available in five different trim levels including GL, GLX, GLS, VRX and Exceed, along with two different engine options: a 3.2-liter direct-injection diesel with 147kW and 441Nm of torque or a 3.8-liter MIVEC V6 with 184kW and 329Nm of torque. The Mitsubishi i-MiEV electric car will be released in the US market next year. For your info, the i-MiEV is an electric car launched for fleet customers in Japan in July 2009, and on April 1, 2010 for the wider public. This eco-friendly car will be released in the US market for $30,000. [Wired]

Mitsubishi will use the diesel-hybrid powertrain for its next-generation Lancer Evolution. The diesel-hybrid version of Evolution XI is designed to accelerate from 0-60 in under 5 seconds, while emitting well under 200 g/km CO2. The all new Mitsubishi ASX has just been priced in the UK. This compact CUV will be available in two different engine options, a 115 hp 1.6-liter petrol unit connects to a front-wheel drive system or a 147 hp 1.8-liter turbodiesel unit connects to an electronically controlled 4×4 system. Meanwhile, the standard equipment will include alloy wheels, air-con, automatic stop & go, active stability control, traction control, keyless entry, abs, brake assist, ecb and airbags. Mitsubishi Australia has added a new model to its range with the launch of the Lancer ACTiV. Based on the ES model, this limited edition car is available in two different body styles, either the Sportback or sedan, and equipped with a 2-liter dual overhead cam MIVEC four-cylinder that outputs 150 hp and 198 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the engine is coupled to either a manual or CVT transmission. Other features of the car include 16-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, side airdams, rear spoiler, chrome exhaust tip and the ACTiV badge. The Lancer ACTiV sells for AUD$21,990 (about $19,805). Mitsubishi has announced the availability of its newest compact crossover ‘RVR‘ in Japan. As a reminder, this compact crossover is equipped with a 1.8-liter MIVEC petrol engine coupled to an INVECS2-III sport mode 6-speed CVT transmission. The car also features an advanced in-car entertainment system and a ‘link system’ with USB, Bluetooth and other connections for music players and other external devices.
