Mitsubishi has announced that the ASX Compact CUV will make its official debut at the upcoming 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. In Europe, the ASX will be available in a wide array of engines such as a 1.8-liter diesel that can be combined with a six-speed manual transmission. [Autoblog]
Mitsubishi has introduced another compact crossover to its range by announcing the Mitsubishi RVR. This compact crossover is equipped with an all new 1.8-liter MIVEC petrol engine and has a good fuel efficiency thanks to its lightweight body. Sadly, there’s no details on engine performance yet. Folks at Japan’s Motor Magazine have posted a video showing the Toyota FT-86 concept, the Honda CR-Z Hybrid coupe concept, the Mitsubishi PX-MiEV SUV concept, the Mazda Kiyora concept and the production version of the Nissan Leaf, which will be exhibited at the upcoming 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. Several spy photos of the 2012 Mitsubishi Crossover have been unveiled. According to rumors, Mitsubishi is currently developing an all-new Mitsubishi Crossover that might be released sometime in 2011. Mitsubishi is set to showcase its second concept car ‘i-MiEV CARGO’ at this year’s Tokyo Auto Show. Aimed at corporate users and self-employed operators, the i-MiEV is powered by a a 330-volt lithium-ion battery and an electric motor capable of outputting 47kW. Meanwhile, the luggage compartment provides enough space for maximum payload, it measures 1350 mm wide, 1100 mm high and 1180 mm deep and has a flat floor. [Zercustoms]
Mitsubishi Australia has recently unveiled its upcoming 2010 Outlander. Inspired by the Outlander GT Concept, the car features a new front grille, a reshaped front bumper, side mirrors, restyled headlamps, a new rear bumper and new side sills. Meanwhile, the engine part is available in two different options, either a 2.4-liter 16- valve engine with 167 hp and 226 Nm of torque or a 3.0-liter V6 engine with 226 hp and 291 Nm of torque. The 2.4-liter unit is mated to either a five speed manual transmission or a CVT with Sports Mode sequential style shift change and INVECS Smart Logic, while the 3.0-liter unit is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission with Sports Mode sequential style shift change and INVECS Smart Logic.
