Peugeot has finally revealed the 4008 crossover price for the Australian market. Based on Mitsubishi ASX/Outlander Sport, the 4008 is available in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations along with two equipment grades: Active and Allure. In terms of transmission, it comes with a five-speed manual gearbox or an optional CVT. Prices ranging from AU$28,990 (about $28,805) for the Active model (w/ FWD + five-speed manual gearbox) and goes up to AU$38,490 (about $38,244) for the Allure model (w/ AWD + CVT). [Autoevolution]
Here’s a look at the upcoming Peugeot 4008. Peugeot has just introduced their latest concept car in Paris, the Peugeot VELV Concept. Designed for urban mobility, this three-seat electric vehicle is equipped with a 20kW electric motor and an 8.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The Peugeot HX1 Concept MPV will be exhibited at Frankfurt Motor Show 2011. Measuring 1,373mm x 1,990mm x 4,954mm, the HX1 features two rows of seats, with a maximum seating capacity of four. The concept car is powered by a combination of a 204 horsepower 2.2 liter HDi diesel engine and a 95 horsepower electric motor with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Peugeot today unveiled the new 508 RXH, which is powered by a diesel-electric hybrid system. This hybrid car uses a 2.0-liter HDi FAP HYbrid4 engine, developing 147kW (200bhp) and 450Nm of torque. The 2012 Peugeot 508 RXH offers a fuel consumption of less than 4.2 liter/100km (more than 70.6mpg) with a 109g/km CO2 emission level.
