
Porsche has showcased their newest mid-engine coupe at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show. Called the Cayman R, this two-seater is powered by a tuned-up 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine with a six-speed manual gearbox that outputs a total of 330 hp. Meanwhile, top speed is rated at 282 km/h with 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds. The Cayman R is scheduled to go on sale from February 2011 for around 69,830 Euro (about $95,200). [AUSmotive]

Kubatech Germany has unveiled a new Stage II tuning kit for the Porsche Carrera GT. The new tuning kit adds an extra 48hp (36kW) and 52Nm (38 lb-ft) of torque to this sports car. The German firm achieved this by modifying the engine management system and fitting a new Cargraphic sport exhaust system. The Stage II kit also helps increases the GT’s top speed, from the standard model’s 330 km/h (205 mph) to 343 km/h (213 mph). Porsche has recently introduced their newest race car, the 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Based on the 911 GT3 RS road car, the car is equipped with a rear-mounted 3.8-liter six-cylinder horizontally-opposed engine that produces a total of 450 hp. The car itself is scheduled to make its debut in the 2011 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship and will go on sale in early 2011. More»

Porsche has finally unveiled the new 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the firm’s in-house individualization operation. The two-seater is powered by a 3.8L flat 6-cylinder engine making 408-hp power, 23-hp more than the 911 Carrera S. The 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster also features a 7-speed Porshce Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) transmission, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB). Production of the 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster is limited to 356 units. This new model will be released in Germany in December 2010 for €201,682 (US$263,636). [egmCarTech]

Lumma Design has showed off their newest styling and performance packages for the Porsche Cayenne. The car receives new headlights, a new exhaust system with 90mm tailpipes and a set of either 22- or 23-inch Mono Alloys. Inside the car gets matt aluminum plates, new pedals and floor matts with leather around the edges. Underneath, the 3.0-liter V6 engine has also been modified through a D-Box to produce 276 hp and 630 Nm of torque (an increase of 36 hp and 80 Nm). The Porsche Cayman Clubsport will make its debut at the 2010 LA Auto Show. The new Cayman Clubsport is expected to come with a 3.4-liter 334-horsepower engine that allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 4.6 seconds. The Porsche Cayman Clubsport will be sold at around $66,330. [egmCarTech]
