Toyota has unveiled its upcoming hybrid sedan for the Japanese market namely the Toyota Sai. This luxury sedan will be offered in two trim levels: S and AS. Meanwhile, power will come from a 2.4-liter petrol engine with 150 hp and 187Nm of torque. As for the electric motor, it will be powered by a nickel-metal hydride battery pack that output 140 hp and 270Nm of torque. The 2010 Toyota Sai will go on sale in December with prices start at 3,380,000 Yen (about $37,259) for the S model and 4,260,000 Yen (about $46,964) for the AS model. [EasyCarBlog]
Toyota has released the all new 2010 Toyota Mark X in Japan. The car is available in two different models, Sports (250G S, 250G S Relax Selection and 350S variants) and Premium (standard and L variants). These models are equipped with a choice of two engine configurations, either with a 3.5-liter V6 engine or a 2.5-liter V6 engine. Meanwhile, prices start at 2.38 million Yen (about $26,200) for the base model and goes up to 3.8 million Yen (about $41,800) for the top of the range model. [Autoevolution]

Toyota has released pictures of the Toyota FT-86 concept that will be exhibited at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show this month. It is a compact, rear-wheel drive sports concept car that is powered by a 2,000cc, horizontally opposed, four-cylinder, naturally-aspirated gasoline engine developed to convey the essential appeal of automobiles in a new era.
