
Volkswagen has finally revealed the UK pricing for their upcoming VW Up!. This compact city car will come in three different trim levels including Take Up!, Move Up! and High Up!, and will have two different engine options: a 1.0-liter unit with 60 hp and a 1.0 liter unit with 75 hp. Prices will range from 7,995 GBP (about $12,450) for the entry-level Take Up! model and goes up to 10,390 GBP (about $16,179) for the top of the range High Up! model. Volkswagen has decided to recall 168,275 Jetta TDI and Golf TDI models. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration(NHTSA), the recall is due to the resonance condition that could cause the fuel line to fall and may lead to a fire. Volkswagen will notify owners affected by the issue and replace the fuel line with an improved fuel injector. The carmaker will also install vibration damper on all of the injector lines. [Autoblog]

Just a bit of info, this three-door coupe is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine (w/ a six-speed manual or six-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission) that produces 188kW of power and 330Nm of torque. Other highlights of the car include 19-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, bi-xenon headlights, dual-zone climate control, 6.5-inch colour touchscreen with satellite navigation, Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, and iPod connectivity. Volkswagen has unveiled their latest concept car, the Volkswagen NILS Concept. Designed for urban mobility, this single-seat electric vehicle is powered by an electric motor with a nominal output of 20 hp and a short-term peak output of 34 hp. The car offers a driving range of up to 65 km (40 miles) from a full charge (two hours of charge time) and has a top speed of 130 km/h (80 mph). The all new 2011 Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 35 is scheduled to hit Australian market in September. Limited to just 200 units, this five-door hatchback will be sold for $43,490 for the six-speed manual model or $45,990 for the six-speed DSG model. This open-top vehicle will come in three different trim levels including S, SE and GT along with three different engine options: 1.2-liter TSI 105 PS, 1.4-liter TSI 160 PS and 1.6-liter TDI 105 PS.
