BAC MONO Supercar

The BAC MONO supercar is powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.3-liter Cosworth engine, developing 280bhp. The manufacturer claims that the BAC MONO is able to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 2.8 seconds or from 0 to 100mph in just 6.7 seconds. The aerodynamics of the BAC MONO are developed using CFD in partnership with the Stuttgart University. The supercar’s body is made from carbon fiber with a tubular steel driver safety cell, including a FIA-compliant roll over protection system. Additionally, the engine of the BAC MONO is mounted longitudinally and mated to an electronically-controlled, paddle-shift, six-speed sequential Hewland transmission with limited-slip differential. The BAC MONO is priced at 79,950 GBP or around $130,000 including taxes. [MotorWard]
