BMW Recalls 1.3 Million 5- And 6-Series Models

BMW has decided to recall 1.3 million 5- and 6-Series models built between 2003 and 2010 in order to repair a battery cable cover. This malfunctioned battery cable cover can result in the electrical system malfunctioning or fire. Owners of these affected vehicles will be receiving a letter soon and will be asked to visit a BMW dealer for about a 30-minute repair session. There are approximately 368,000 cars are located in the United States, 293,000 in Germany, 109,000 in Britain and around 102,000 in China. [WorldCarFans]
