According to GermanCarZone, BMW is developing a new version of its 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine, that produces 286 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. This new tri-turbo diesel V6 engine will be used in a new BMW X5 Performance Diesel. BMW will also add hybrid component that includes stop/start and regenerative braking in order to maintain the oil-burners fuel efficiency.
