Here’s the first Volkswagen Golf R video showing the car going head to head in a race against the Volkswagen Scirocco R. As a reminder, the Golf R is equipped with a 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder engine with 270 PS and 350 Nm of torque. 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai has announced the 2011 Hyundai Sonata at a special event in Korea. Codenamed “YF”, the Korean version comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 165 horsepower and delivering 30 mpg. The North American model is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with direct injection that produces around 200 horsepower. There is also a 3.5-liter V6 model that produces around 250 horsepower. In addition to the two U.S. models mentioned above, Hyundai will also release the Sonata Hybrid that will use lithium polymer batteries. The regular models of Sonata should start production for the U.S at Hyundai’s Alabama factory in the summer of 2010, while the Sonata Hybrid will enter production stage sometime in 2011. Volkswagen E-Up Concept

Here’s the latest electric concept car ‘E-Up’ from Volkswagen that was presented during this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show. This zero emissions car is powered by an 18-kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor capable of outputting 80 hp. The battery provides a range of about 80 miles and takes less than five hours to be fully charged. The car itself is capable of reaching 0-62 mph in just 11.3 seconds with a top speed of 84 mph.
