
BMW will soon replace their old 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six engine that is found on their 735d, 335d and the X5 35d with a new 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo diesel motor. This new motor is capable of producing 306-hp with 600Nm of torque, while the old unit only had 286hp with 580Nm of torque. [EasyCarBlog]

BMW has released a second teaser video of its forthcoming X1 utility vehicle. The X1 follows the design of the X1 Concept first shown at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. German tuning house G-Power has upgraded the BMW M3 Coupe Tornado with their new supercharger system. Using a moderate 0,3 bar boost, the output of the V8 engine is pushed from 420 hp to 500 hp and the torque increases from 400 Nm up to 480 Nm. 0-200 km/h can be reached in just 13.5 seconds (standard M3′s time: 15.8 seconds) with a top speed of 320 km/h. Meanwhile, for the interior parts, the car is equipped with carbon-fiber trims, a new speedometer with the G-Power logo, an optional aluminum pedal set and a special leather treatment. [Carscoop]

G-Power has recently developed an extreme and powerful edition of the 635-horsepower M6 Hurricane. Called the Hurricane CS, the M6 Coupe-based model uses an upgraded version of the M5 Hurricane’s 730-horsepower twin-turbocharged V10 that delivers an output of 750 horsepower allowing the supercar to reach a top speed of 370km/h. Other modifications on the G-Power M6 Hurricane CS include the multipart widebody kit, the high performance Carbon-Ceramic break system, the individually adjustable suspension kit and the nifty 21 inch G-Power wheels with MICHELIN tyres. BMW showed off its X5 M SUV concept during 2009 Shanghai Auto Show. The car is powered by V8 Twin Turbo engine that produces 555 horsepower. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in only 4.7 seconds. The X5 M also adopts BMW’s intelligent xDrive all-wheel-drive system and the Dynamic Performance Control system to maintain the power and performance. [AVING]
