
BMW has announced the pricing of the BMW ActiveHybrid 5. The sedan will be available in Germany from the base price of €62,900($85,734). For your info, the BMW ActiveHybrid 5 is powered by a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine, which is combined with an electric drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine configuration allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). [autoevolution]

To celebrate BMW 5 Series’ 30th anniversary, BMW will be launching the new BMW 528i 30th Anniversary Edition for the Japanese market. Limited to just 200 units, the car will come with the M Sport aero package, blue exterior color, beige leather, satin walnut trim, head-up display, 16-speaker sound system with USB interface, aluminum window frames and tinted glass and special door sill plates. BMW has finally confirmed the upcoming X4 SUV. The BMW X4 will feature a similar design with the BMW X3 or X5. This SUV will also have a bolder face and a more aerodynamic body. Unfortunately, there is no info on the specification of this vehicle. Stay tuned for more updates. [Autoweek]

RevoZport today released a new upgrade program for the BMW 1 Series M coupe. RevoZport’s body kit for the 1 Series M coupe consists of a front splitter, a new hood with integrated air vents, a new front grille, side skirts, a rear wing, trunk lid and roof spoilers, and a rear diffuser. The RevoZport BMW 1 Series M also features a lightweight boot lid and side mirror casings. In the performance department, RevoZport also provides the 1 Series M coupe with a re-programmed ECU, a new inter-cooler, a blow-off valve, high-flow air filters and a lightweight titanium sport exhaust system. BMW has released several new videos for their latest concept car, the BMW i3. To remind you, this zero-emission electric vehicle is equipped with a 125kW electric motor and rear-wheel drive. BMW has entered the electric car market by releasing the i3 all-electric small city car and i8 hybrid sports car. Both cars are constructed with lightweight aluminum structures and carbon fiber bodies. BMW claims that the i3 will be able to travel for up to 95 miles on a single charge.
