
Chrysler will introduced the 300 Mopar Special Edition at the Chicago Auto Show in order to celebrate Mopar’s 75th anniversary. The sedan is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine which produces 363 hp (271 kW / 368 PS). This engine enables the car to accelerate from 0-60mph in less than 5 seconds. Chrysler has decided to recall 242,780 Ram pickup trucks over a steering failure that could lead to “a loss of directional stability”. The recall affects certain Ram 2500/3500 4×4 and Ram 3500 Cab Chassis 4×2 models manufactured from February 14, 2008 through March 28, 2011. It also affects the Ram 1500 Mega Cab 4×4 models manufactured from February 14, 2008 until August 15, 2008. Chrysler dealers will inspect the tie rod ends and replace the outer left tie rod as required, as well as a front end toe alignment, all free of charge. [CarScoop]

Chrysler has recently showcased their newest concept car ’200 S’ at this year’s LX Spring Festival in Irvine, California. Under the hood, the 200 S is equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine (w/ six-speed automatic transmission) that produces a total of 283 hp. The car also comes with a number of unique styling features including a special finish on the grille, dark headlamp surrounds, bespoke 18-inch tuner-inspired aluminum wheels, black leather seats with suede inserts and a Boston Acoustics speaker system. Here’s a glance at the upcoming 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible for the US market. The car will be available in three different configurations including the Touring model, Limited model and S model, and will have two different engine options: a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 or 2.4-liter I4 World Gas, each mated to a six-speed transmission. Meanwhile, interior highlights include an available media center with voice command that is easy to use and offers SIRIUS Satellite Radio, a 30 gigabyte HDD/CD/DVD/MP3 radio with SIRIUS Travel Link, which provides real-time information, and keep drivers and passengers connected. Chrysler Group LLC is proud to introduce their upcoming compact 4×4 SUV, the 2011 Jeep Compass. This compact 4×4 SUV will come in three different trim levels including Compass, Latitude and Limited, along with two different engine options: a 2.0-liter petrol with 158 hp and 141 lb-ft of torque or a 2.4-liter World Engine with 172 hp and 165 lb-ft of torque. As for the transmission options, the car will come with either a five-speed manual or Chrysler’s new CVT2.
