
Citroen has unveiled the new C4 Aircross, which is a compact SUV version of the Citroen C4. Measuring 4,340mm x 1,800mm and 1,630mm, the five-seat C4 Aircross is available in a variety of gasoline and diesel engines with front- or all-wheel drive. The 108bhp 1.6-litre HDi and 148bhp 1.8-litre HDi engines come with a manual six-speed manual gearbox, while the 113bhp 1.6-litre and 148bhp 2.0-litre petrol engines feature a five-speed manual gearbox. What makes the Citroen C4 Aircross more interesting is that it has a panoramic glass sunroof that is illuminated by integrated LED lights at night. Other features include a GPS navigation with a touchscreen display, a reversing camera, a USB port, and Bluetooth connectivity. [Auto Express]

Citroen has released a teaser image of the new DS5, which will debut at the Shanghai Auto Show on April 18th, 2011. Citroen describes the DS5 as having a daring and sculptural design, involving bold choices on styling, architecture, sensations and refinement. The Citroen Lacoste Concept has the same size as a Citroën C1 / Toyota Aygo. This concept car is powered by a three-cylinder gasoline engine that offers “plenty of performance on tap to power a vehicle of this size and weight.” The Citroen Lacoste Concept also features the T-shaped structure that hides an auto-inflatable hood. The Citroën Survolt will make its track debut at the Le Mans Classic on July 10th, 2010. The French car maker also revealed technical details about the Survolt. Measuring just 3.85m x 1.87m x 1.2m and weighing 1,150 kg, the supermini-sized Survolt features a tubular chassis, a flat underside with an extractor and full carbon bodywork. The Survolt’s full electric drivetrain comprises of two-electric motors producing a combined output of 300-horsepower, and a pair of lithium-ion batteries weighing in at 140kg a piece. Each battery pack boasts a 31kw capacity offering a driving range of around 200km (124miles). This coupe has a top speed of 260km/h (162mph) and a 0-100km/h (0-62mph) sprint time of under five seconds. More»
