
The new all-electric version of the 2013 Up! has just been introduced by Volkswagen. This compact city car is equipped with an electric motor that outputs 82HP and 210Nm of torque. In terms of performance, it offers a driving range of 150 km and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 14 seconds (135 km/h top speed). [AR]

Volkswagen has launched a new city car in India namely the Polo SR (short for Sport Racer). The Polo SR comes with the Aero-sport package which consists of sporty side skirts, rear roof spoiler, a visible chrome exhaust tip, a different lower front bumper, fog lights, a set of 15-inch alloys and some badging. Underneath, power comes from a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine (w/ a five-speed manual gearbox) that generates 75 hp. [Autoevolution]

Honda Japan has unveiled the new Honda Fit She’s, which is designed women. Available in pink or brown, the car features a “Plasmacluster” climate control system, which can improve skin quality and a specially designed windshield that prevents wrinkles. What makes the Honda Fit She’s unique is that it has a built-in emery board, so you can file your nails. Additional features include a makeup mirror and a pink interior stitching. [Honda Japan]

The Tata Nano is currently available in the U.S. market. It is touted as the cheapest car in the U.S. market so far. Priced at just $3,000, the car uses a 37-horsepower twin cylinder engine. Too bad, it lacks of common safety features such as power steering, traction control and airbags. Here’s a glance at the upcoming Volkswagen Up! GT. This compact city car is said to have the same 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder engine (w/ a 6-speed manual transmission) that generates 109 hp and 120 lb-ft of torque. It will also come with bigger alloys, a sports suspension, sports seats, an updated interior and a sportier body kit. The Volkswagen Up! GT itself is scheduled to hit the roads in 2013.
