Here’s the latest plug-in Hybrid concept car ‘Ray’ from Kia Motors that was recently showcased at this year’s Chicago Auto Show. Based on the Kia Forte platform, this futuristic four-seat compact saloon is equipped with an all-aluminum 153-horsepower Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) 1.4-liter engine that is coupled to a 78kw electric motor. This electric engine is powered by a lithium-polymer battery pack that offers a driving range of up to 50 miles on a single charge. Mitsubishi i-MiEV CARGO

Mitsubishi is set to showcase its second concept car ‘i-MiEV CARGO’ at this year’s Tokyo Auto Show. Aimed at corporate users and self-employed operators, the i-MiEV is powered by a a 330-volt lithium-ion battery and an electric motor capable of outputting 47kW. Meanwhile, the luggage compartment provides enough space for maximum payload, it measures 1350 mm wide, 1100 mm high and 1180 mm deep and has a flat floor. [Zercustoms]

Kia VG Concept

Here are the first images of Kia’s upcoming premium sedan, code name VG, which will go on sale in Korea at the end of 2009. The VG concept was shown at the Seoul Motor Show 2009 and is set to replace the Opirus model in Korean, North American and European markets.
