Toyota is laying out its green vision of the future with dreams of an ultralight, superefficient plug-in hybrid with a biopplastic body made of seaweed. The kelp car would build upon the already hypergreen 1/X plug-in hybrid concept, which weighs 926 pounds, by replacing its carbon-fiber body with plastic derived from seaweed. As for the collision safety the car will use lightweight carbon-fiber reinforced plastic throughout the body and frame made from oil. Let’s just hope the car will come into production in near future! Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will unveil its latest experimental car, called 200EX, at the Geneva Motor Show on 3 March 2009. 200EX is a design study for a contemporary four-door saloon and shows the direction for RR4, a new model series from Rolls-Royce due for production in 2010. [Edmunds]
Here’s the leaked picture of the upcoming world’s fastest hybrid title ‘Giugiaro’ set to make its debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. Some of the specs are: a 3.3L V6 petrol engine, which has an output of 268hp (200kW) and 212lb-ft (288Nm) of torque. The car accelerated from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in 4.05 seconds. The powertrain layout also makes the car four-wheel drive, since the engine powers one axle, and each motor powers one of the remaining wheels. [MotorAuthority]

Here’s the first official image of Hyundai HED-6 concept vehicle planned for next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
