
Designer Marcos Beltrao has designed the Hybrid XSeed. The concept car features a 1600cc four-cylinder engine with electric thrusters on each wheel. This engine configuration produces an output of 225 horsepower, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 4.5 seconds. The Volkswagen E-Bugster concept has been unveiled at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. The car is powered by a 114-hp/199-lb-ft electric motor, a single-speed transmission, a 695-pound lithium-ion battery that offers about 100 miles of range, and a charging port that is located in the front. The Volkswagen E-Bugster concept also features front and rear bumpers as well as bright LED lights. [MotorTrend]

Maserati has recently introduced the Kubang concept at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. Designed by Paolo Martinelli, the Maserati Kubang concept is powered by a choice of a 4.7-liter V8 engine or a 3-litre V6 diesel engine. This SUV also uses an 8 speed automatic transmission. The Maserati Kubang is a competitor to the Range Rover Supercharged, Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz ML. [egmCarTech]

Volvo will unveil its XC60 plug-in hybrid concept at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. The car uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine that powers the front wheels and an electric motor that drives the rear wheels. This engine combination produces a 350 horse power, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-60 Mph in only 5.8 seconds. The Volvo XC60 also features an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 12 kWh battery that is located beneath the cargo area. [MotorTrend]

Nissan will introduced the Pathfinder concept and an electric van concept at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. This upcoming SUV is powered by a 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine, producing 265 hp at 6,400 rpm and 336 Nm (248 lb-ft) of torque at 4,400 rpm. The next-generation Pathfinder will be launched in Fall 2012. Chevrolet and Hot Wheels have joined together to design the Camaro Hot Wheels Concept. The concept car is currently on display at 2011 SEMA show. Inspired by the original 16 Hot Wheels cars from 1968, the Camaro Hot Wheels Concept features the “Over Chrome Green” scheme.
