Opel and Vauxhall have recently unveiled the RAK e battery-powered electric car at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Weighing only 380 kg, this two-seat electric vehicle uses a 50PS (36.5kW/ 49hp) electric motor, which is powered by a 5 kWh battery. Designed by Adriano Mudri, the Rimac Concept One is claimed to be the world’s first electric supercar. This eco-friendly supercar incorporates four electric motors that are powered by a 92kWh battery pack. This engine configuration allows the Rimac Concept One to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph). Renault has unveiled the Frendzy minivan concept at the 64th International Frankfurt Motor Show. Measuring 4091mm x 1872mm x 1743mm, this pure-electric car features a conventional door and a sliding door with a 37-inch widescreen display. What makes the Frendzy interesting is that it has an integrated BlackBerry PlayBook tablet that controls the external screen. The new Volvo Concept You has been unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car features a large control center on the dashboard that consists of four main areas such as a digital Driver Information Monitor, a head-up display on the windscreen, a touch screen on the upper part of the center console, and a touch screen between the two individual rear seats. There are also integrated touchscreens on the wood/leather steering wheel.
