Volkswagen has unveiled the Final Edition of the New Beetle coupe and convertible. The Final Editions boast an exclusive Aquarius Blue paint job, 17-inch alloy wheels, a sport suspension, special badging, and an individually numbered steering wheel. These cars are equipped with a 2.5-liter inline five-cylinder petrol engine that produces 150 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. Both models will be released in the spring of 2010. Volvo has released the first details including video on their upcoming four-seat convertible, the 2010 Volvo C70. Featuring the same smart three-piece steel roof, the C70 comes with a fresh front, a new front wings, a three dimensional nose, new LED lamps and a re-designed bumper. The car will be offered in three different petrol engines: T5 with 230 hp/320 Nm, 2.4i with 170 hp/230 Nm and 2.4 with 140 hp/220 Nm and two diesel engines: D5 with 180 hp/400 Nm and 2.0D with 136 hp/320 Nm. Fiat has announced the availability of its Fiat 500 Convertible in the UK. The 500 Convertible comes in three different engine options: a 1.2-liter petrol engine with 69 horsepower, a 1.4-liter petrol engine with 100 horsepower and a 1.3-liter diesel engine with 75 horsepower. Some of the features you’ll find within this new convertible include an electronically operated roof, an air conditioning system, a remote central locking system and a radio/CD/MP3 player. Infiniti has announced the final specification of their upcoming G37 Convertible, which will be released in Europe starting September 2009. This four-seater is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 petrol engine that generates 320PS to the rear wheels. The car can reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. Toyota has recently introduced the Lexus IS250C four-seat convertible with an electronically opened aluminum top. The convertible is powered by a six-speed automatic transmission and a 2.5-liter, 215-horsepower V6 engine. Toyota has limited its monthly domestic sales goal to 100 units only because of the economic recession.
