Chevrolet Cruze Eco Unveiled

Chevrolet has released new information about the 2011 Cruze Eco. Priced at $18,895, the car features a turbocharged 1.4-liter Ecotec engine with 138hp (103kW/ 140PS) and 148lb-ft (200Nm) of torque. The Cruze Eco also has an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 28mpg city / 42mpg highway (manual) and 26mpg city / 37mpg highway (automatic). [WorldCarFans]

Hyundai will release the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (FCEV) in 2012. With a plan to sell 1000 units in 2013, the company already claims to sell 10,000 units by 2015, when Toyota will only have made its first delivers. Epic EV Torq 200hp Electric Vehicle

Epic Electric Vehicles has unveiled the three-wheel Torq. Measuring 162-inch x 87-inch x 48-inch, this electric car is powered by a 24-30KWh lithium-ion phosphate battery pack which motivates a 200+ hp (149 kW / 203 PS) electric motor. Nissan North America’s executive vice president, Carlos Tavares, has announced that the Nissan Leaf will be launched in the US market in December 2010. The Leaf’s battery pack will be covered by an 8-year or a 100,000-mile warranty. The electric car will first launch in California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Tennessee. Following that initial wave, the eco-friendly car will be sent to Texas and Hawaii in January 2011. Next up will be North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina and Alabama in April 2011. 4,400 Chevrolet Volt Owners Get Home Charging Stations

The Chevrolet Volt is one of the most interesting electric cars. The Volt uses an electric drivetrain and runs exclusively from electric power. Too bad, the Volt doesn’t have a gas-powered generator for making electricity to extend the cars driving range. The company has recently announced that the first 4,400 Volt buyers will be eligible for a free 240V charge station.
