Chevrolet Volt To Be Released In California

GM today announced that they will release the Chevrolet Volt late next year in California. GM is teaming up with local utilities companies, including Pacific Gas & Electric and Southern California Edison, to make sure the state is ready for the car’s launch. The Chevrolet Volt is an extended-range electric vehicle offering up to 40 miles of gasoline- and emissions-free electric driving. Tesla Shop In Monaco

Tesla Motors has recently opened a new Tesla Shop in Monte Carlo, Monaco. According to the press release, the shop is conveniently located in the Golden Square of the State, le “Carre d’Or”, and will serve all of Southern Europe. Monaco is the perfect base for their sales and service in Southern Europe and has more potential customers to the little electric Tesla Roadster than most other European cities. [GlobalMotors]

Toyota FT-EV II Concept

Toyota today unveiled its latest plug-in electric concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show. The FT-EV II utilities a complete drive-by-wire system with joystick-like controls that feature a steam-punk design motif. This electric car also features sliding doors on both sides. Video after the jump.
