The Volkswagen E-Bugster concept has been unveiled at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. The car is powered by a 114-hp/199-lb-ft electric motor, a single-speed transmission, a 695-pound lithium-ion battery that offers about 100 miles of range, and a charging port that is located in the front. The Varley evR450 is known as Australia’s first electric supercar. This full electric supercar is powered by a high-performance electric motor that enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds. The supercar has a top speed of 200km/h (electronically limited) with a range of 150km with a standard battery or 300km with a range-extension battery pack. Nissan has introduced the e-NT400 ATLAS electric truck at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Truck Show. Based on the ATLAS F24, the truck is powered by a combination of a high-capacity Lithium-ion battery and a high-performance electric motor that provides a range of 100 miles (on the JC08 test cycle). BYD has announced the availability of the e6 all-electric crossover vehicle. This five-passenger car is the first all-electric vehicle for sale to consumers in China.
