GM Daewoo’s Matiz Creative has received a four-star safety rating from the European New Car Assessment Program (EuroNCAP). This achievement is the result of the Matiz Creative’s structural enhancements combined with a full offering of active and passive safety features. The Matiz Creative will be released in Korea in September 2009 as the GM Daewoo Matiz Creative or as the Chevrolet Spark in Europe, North America and several countries in Asia. [AVING]

General Motors will start to produce the Cadillac Converj, which will probably take a few years to reach dealer showrooms. FYI, the Cadillac Converj is a concept car that was introduced at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit and made its West Coast debut at the 2009 Orange County Auto Show. The two-door and front-wheel-drive coupe has an all-electric range of 40 miles (64 km) and a top speed of 100 mph (160 km/h). Stay tuned for more updates. [Autoblog]
