
The DOK-ING XD electric car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in 7.7 seconds. Weighing at just 100Kg, this eco-friendly car uses the 80kW/360Nm electric motor which is powered by Lithium-ion-phosphate battery packs. The DOK-ING XD can travel up to 200-250km without needing a recharge. The car features Sat-nav, Bluetooth connectivity, 360-degree airbags, a DVD player and a touchcreen infotainment system. Audi has unveiled the third member of the ‘e-tron’ concept family that was applied on Audi’s brand new A1 premium supermini. This green car uses a front-mounted electric motor producing 102HP and 240Nm to drive the wheels with a 254cc single-rotor Wankel engine that runs at 5,000 rpm. The A1 e-tron weighs at just 1,190 kilograms (2,623.50 lb) and accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 10.2 seconds. It has a top speed of 81mph. [Zimbio]

Opel is ready to release a revamped version of the Corsa ecoFlex. The hatchback sedan uses a 95 horsepower 1.3-liter CDTI turbo diesel that consumes only 3.7 liters of fuel to travel 100 km, releasing just 98g/km of CO2 on the three door version. The new Corsa ecoFlex has a top speed of 177 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.3 seconds. [Autoblog]

The Citroen C-ZERO is a “triple zero” car with zero fuel consumption, zero CO2 emission and zero engine noise. This eco-friendly car is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor that delivers 47kW or 64bhp EEC from 3,000 to 6,000rpm. The Citroen C-ZERO accelerates from 0-100kph (0-62mph) in 15 seconds and 60-90kph (37-56mph) in six seconds and has a top speed of 130kph (80mph). BMW will release the BMW City/Project i electric car in 2012 or 2013. This super-efficient, four-seater, three-door hatchback is being designed specifically for the U.S. market.
