Honda today announced that they are expanding an earlier recall of Accord, Civic and Acura TL vehicles over a faulty airbag inflator that could send shrapnel through an inflated airbag. The recall now affects a total of 440,000 vehicles. Several injuries have occurred as a result of the defective airbag inflator. Honda is ready to release two new hybrid cars in Japan next year. The CR-Z sporty hybrid model will hit the store in February 2010, meanwhile the Fit Hybrid will be available at the end of 2010. Rumors have it that the Japanese automaker Honda is currently working on a sleek four door coupe. Designer John Mahieddine has created the Honda FUZ-O hovercar that is able to cruise at a maximum speed of 300mph thanks to its high-power turbines. The concept car also features a “fly-by-wire system that relies on GPS to keep cars from hitting one another.” [Yanko]
