Hybrid XSeed Concept Vehicle

Designer Marcos Beltrao has designed the Hybrid XSeed. The concept car features a 1600cc four-cylinder engine with electric thrusters on each wheel. This engine configuration produces an output of 225 horsepower, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 4.5 seconds. 2014 Mitsubishi Evo XI Diesel Hybrid

The 2014 Mitsubishi Evo XI will be powered by a combination of a diesel engine and an electric motor. This hybrid engine enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in less than 5 seconds. Opel To Release New Fuel-cell Vehicle (FCV) In 2015

Opel has quietly announced plans to launch a fuel-cell vehicle (FCV) in 2015. Besides the FCV, the company will invest €11 billion (around US$15.8 billion) to develop other models that could be released by 2014. In addition, Opel will also introduce “three new engine families” (a small petrol, a medium petrol and a medium diesel) that are fully-compliant with the upcoming Euro 6 emission standards. The new Honda CR-Z Racer is powered by the standard 1.5-liter 4-cylinders in-line engine, featuring fuel Injection and turbocharging, which works together with an electric motor. Word has it that the new Ford Focus could be powered by a turbocharged petrol engine along with an electric motor that is mounted on the car’s rear axle. The upcoming Focus RS will use Ford’s 2.0-liter Ecoboost petrol engine that is capable of churning out 250hp of power to spin the front wheels, while it will couple with an electric motor setup mounted on the rear axle. The advantages of the setup are many including enhanced performance that comes from the high-torque electric motor. [Autocar]
