RM Auctions and Sotheby has made history yesterday by selling a 1957 Ferrari 250 TR for $12,156,252 (€9,020,000), which is a new world record for most expensive car to be sold at auction. This luxurious car belongs to El Hadji Diouf, who plays for Blackburn Rovers Football Club, an English Premier League football club based in the town of Blackburn, Lancashire. He has spent up to £420,000 or equal to $636,750 on his Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. FYI, he is not the only football player to have owned this chromed car.
