Mazda Releases Special Edition BT-50 In South Africa

Mazda has recently released a special edition version of BT-50 in South Africa called the BT-50 EDGE. Limited to just 300 units, this sports activity vehicle features a new exterior styling kit which includes decals to the lower front corners of the doors, new front and rear scuff plates, new stainless steel detailing and some chrome for the mirrors. Meanwhile, the cabin is fitted with an in-dash 6-CD changer with MP3 capability, air conditioning, power windows and remote central locking. Underneath, power comes from a 3.0-liter engine coupled to a 4×2 SLE manual transmission gearbox that outputs 115kW and 380Nm of torque. The Mazda BT-50 EDGE is now available in South Africa for a starting price of R 345,000 (about $45,833). [EasyCarBlog]

Mazda MX-5 20th Anniversary

Mazda will unveil a special anniversary edition of its Mazda MX-5 roadster at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. The Mazda MX-5 20th Anniversary Edition is based on the 1.8-liter model and comes with a special exterior styling package that includes chrome grille, door handles and headlight fascia along with silver-look fog lamp surrounds, unique 17-inch alloy wheels and 20th Anniversary logos. Available in True Red, Crystal White Pearl and Aurora Blue, the Mazda MX-5 20th Anniversary Edition will be available only 2,000 units. [Auto-Media]
