Mitsubishi has confirmed that its U.S. dealers will begin selling the new Lancer Sportback this summer as a 2010 model. The five-door hatchback will be offered in GTS and Ralliart versions. The GTS comes with the 2.4-liter engine mated to either a five-speed manual or a “six-speed” CVT. The Ralliart gets the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that puts out 237 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque. Like the Ralliart sedan, the six-speed twin clutch TC-SST transmission is the only available gearbox. The Sportback will go on sale in the summer of 2009. Mitsubishi today announced that they will release the 4-wheel drive sedan Lancer Evolution and 7-seat SUV Outlander in Korea. Priced at 62,000,000 Korean Won, the all new Lancer Evolution is powered by 2.0-liter MIVEC turbocharged and intercooled engine with 295 horsepower.
