
Audi has finally unveiled the R8 e-Tron prototype at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This prototype features a ventilated hood, a revised grille and additional carbon fiber accents. This electric car is powered by four electric motors and a 53 kWh lithium-ion battery, producing 313PS (230kW/308hp) and 4,500Nm (3,319lb-ft) of torque. This engine configuration allows the Audi R8 e-Tron to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. No word on pricing or availability at this time. [WorldCarFans]

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new prototype of Mercedes-Benz SLS E-Cell. This eco-friendly car is powered by a unique electric motor that produces a powerful 526hp and 649ft-lbs of torque. It is capable of revving as high as 12,000rpm. Other luxurious items include LED headlights, 19-inch wheels up front, and 20-inch wheels at the back. Sadly, there is no info on pricing at this time. Here are the very first spy shots of Ferrari’s upcoming F450 sports car. Touted as the successor of the original F430, this F450 prototype features LED daytime running lights, a three piece tailpipe set at the rear and round lights at the back. General Motors and Segway has collaborated to develop an electrically powered, two-seat prototype vehicle that has only two wheels. Dubbed Project P.U.M.A. (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility), this two-passenger vehicle could allow people to travel faster and with lower cost around cities. The vehicle itself is capable of reaching speeds of 35 mph for up to 35 miles on a single charge. The Project P.U.M.A. will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show this week. More»
