
Renault has unveiled a new hatchback to its range with the introduction of the Clio Gordini. Available in both three door and five door models, this compact car comes in two different engine options including a 1.6-liter 16V 128 hp petrol unit and a 1.5-liter dCi 105 hp diesel unit. Prices will start at 18,450 GBP / $29,755 (three door petrol version) or 19,050 GBP / $30,722 (five door petrol version), or 20,750 GBP / $33,464 (three door diesel version) or 21,350 / $34,432 (five door diesel version). The Renault Frendzy electric concept will be introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011. The MPV has DeZir-inspired styling, a canvas roof and a sliding rear passenger-side door with a 37-inch digital display. This eco-friendly car uses a lithium-ion battery which sends power to an electric motor that develops 60 PS (44 kW / 59 hp) and 226 Nm (167 lb-ft) of torque. Renault has finally revealed the UK pricing for their upcoming electric vehicle ‘Fluence Z.E.’. Set to be released in the UK in 2012, this five-seat, five door zero emission car will be priced at 17,850 GBP (about $28,547) after a 5,000 GBP (about $7,996) UK Plug-in Car Grant has been deducted. You’ll also have to pay a separate battery lease contract from 75 GBP (about $119) per month, based on 6,000 miles/3 years. [Autoevolution]

Renault has officially unveiled the all new 2012 Renault Koleos. This facelifted version of the Renault Kaleos comes with new headlights, a larger single frame grille with chrome accents plus a redesigned bumper, fenders and hood. Under the hood, Renault offers three different engine options including a 2.0-liter diesel with 150 hp, a 2.0-liter diesel with 175 hp and a 2.5-liter petrol with 170 hp. The Renault Megane RS Trophy is a special edition version of the standard model with a limited production run of 500 cars. It is powered by the modified 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine sporting a higher maximum turbo pressure (from 2.3 bar to 2.5 bar) and a new air intake system. As a result, output is boosted by 15HP and peak torque by 20Nm over the standard car for a total of 265-horses and 360Nm (265 lb-ft).
