Renault has announced a special edition version of its Scenic MVP in order to celebrate the MVP’s 15th anniversary. Available in six different metallic and non-metallic body colors, this special edition MVP comes with several Dark Metal details, a specific interior finish, a panoramic opening sunroof, an electronic parking brake, rear parking sensors and Carminat TomTom Live navigation system. Under the hood, power comes from either a dCi 110 EDC diesel engine or the new Energy dCi 130 diesel engine. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing yet. [GlobalMotors]
The Twizy is a line of compact cars from Renault that are so slow. This two-seater features a four wheel chassis and a 15kW electric motor that outputs 70Nm of torque, giving the same performances as a 125cc scooter. Top speed is limited to 75 km/h and the car can go as far as 100 km on a single charge. The Renault Twizy is now available for reservation. The 45 km/h Twizy 45 is priced at 6,990 Euros ($9,849), while the Twizy Urban retails for 7,690 Euros ($10,839). And finally, the Twizy Technic sells for 8,490 Euros ($11,966). [Geeky Gadgets]
Renault has just introduced the limited edition versions of its 2011 Scenic and Grand Scenic Dynamique TomTom models. Known as the Renault Scenic BOSE limited edition and Renault Scenic Dynamique TomTom BOSE limited edition, both of these models are equipped with a specially developed high-quality BOSE Energy Efficient Series sound system (an integrated subwoofer + a digital amplifier + nine speakers), a range of black interior and exterior touches and a set of 17-inch black Schuss lightweight rims. Based on the Dynamique TomTom trim level of the coupe version, the special edition Renault Megane Monaco GP will have its premiere at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2011. The Renault Megane Monaco GP features a pearlescent Arctic White paint, gloss black door mirrors, rear diffuser and foglight surrounds and black headlight masks.
