Mazda has launched the MX-5 Karai Limited Edition in Germany. Limited to 165 units, the roadster coupe features a Metis Green Metallic finish, black leather/Alcantara Recaro sports seats, a black electric folding roof and black 17-inch alloy wheels. Also included with the limited edition is a sport package with sport mufflers, a lowering kit and a convenience package with iPod and USB adapter, and an exclusive set of floor mats. Daihatsu has rolled out the 2011 Copen Roadster Ultimate S Edition in Japan. The new model features a restyled grille, dark colored 15-inch BBS alloys, a Momo steering wheel and gear lever, plus the option of full leather sport seats or a set of Recaro buckets draped in Alcantara. The new 2011 Copen Roadster Ultimate S Edition is powered by a 660cc turbocharged engine producing 64HP at 6,000rpm and 110Nm of peak torque at 3,200rpm. Hamann Motorsport has recently showed off their latest styling and performance packages for the BMW Z4 Roadster. Outside the car gets a new aerodynamic body kit which includes a new front spoiler with integrated LEDs, new side skirts, a rear apron and a tailgate spoiler. Underneath, the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline 6 cylinder engine has also been modified to produce 360 hp and 540 Nm of torque (an increase of 54 hp and 140 Nm). Mazda will unveil a special anniversary edition of its Mazda MX-5 roadster at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. The Mazda MX-5 20th Anniversary Edition is based on the 1.8-liter model and comes with a special exterior styling package that includes chrome grille, door handles and headlight fascia along with silver-look fog lamp surrounds, unique 17-inch alloy wheels and 20th Anniversary logos. Available in True Red, Crystal White Pearl and Aurora Blue, the Mazda MX-5 20th Anniversary Edition will be available only 2,000 units. [Auto-Media]
Mazda has just released its 20th anniversary special-edition MX-5 Roadster in Japan. This special-edition car is available in two different models: the RS which features a manually operated soft-top with six-speed manual gearbox, and the VS RHT which features a folding hardtop roof with six-speed automatic gearbox. In addition, both models also come with clear front fog lights, 17-inch aluminum wheels, heated seats, a soft touch interior, Recaro bucket sport seats in black and red Alcantara and ’20th Anniversary’ badges on each side.
