
Scion has unveiled the new FR-S sports coupe concept. It is a front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car that promises to offer exceptional handling and performance. The Scion FR-S is powered by the 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated boxer engine, that features the D4-S injection system. Toyota’s sub-brand Scion will be released in Canada in September 2010. The car will arrive in 45 dealerships in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Scion will come to Canada with three vehicles including the Scion tC compact sport coupe, the Scion xD subcompact five-door hatchback, and the Scion xB compact five-door hatchback. Every Scion comes with the safety system that includes front dual-stage airbags, front seat mounted side airbags, front and rear side curtain airbags, three-point lap and shoulder belts for all occupants. Toyota has unveiled the Scion IQ concept at the New York Auto Show yesterday. The car looks similar to the Toyota IQ city car now on sale in Europe. The IQ is billed as a 3+1, which means it could carry three adults and a child, or some luggage. The car itself is powered by a 1.3-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that develops 93 horsepower and 89lb-ft of torque. No word yet on if this will go into production. More»

Here’s the latest details of 2009 Scion tC RS 5.0 which will be displayed at the Chicago Auto Show, February 11-22. The car features a gloss black exterior, 18-inch TRD wheels in matte black with red accents, and red TRD lowering springs for an improved appearance. A more meaningful change comes in the form of a new TRD rear sway bar which helps to improve the car’s handling. Inside, the blacked-out TRD theme continues with a leather-covered steering wheel, black seats and TRD-badged floor mats. The car will be limited to 2,000 units and pricing starts at $19,300.
