Lexus has unveiled the first dedicated luxury hybrid vehicle in the world at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Dubbed as the 2010 HS250h, it is also the first Lexus’s car to utilize carbon-neutral Ecological Plastic materials in a new futuristic cockpit and interior design. This luxury sedan is equipped with Lexus’ first four-cylinder gas engine, the 2.4-liter Atkinson-cycle powerplant that generates 187 total system horsepower. Other features included exhaust heat recovery system, IR windshield and power-saving LED headlamps that contribute to improved fuel efficiency and emissions. [AVING]
