The 2012 Camaro ZL1 has been introduced at the Chicago Auto Show. As rumored, the new Camaro ZL1 is powered by the LSA, 6.2 liter supercharged V8 from the Cadillac CTS-V. The car is rated at 550 horsepower versus the Cadillac CTS-V’s 556 horsepower, while torque drops to 550 ft lb from the CTS-V’s 551 ft lb. There is no info on pricing at this moment. The new and updated 2012 Hyundai Genesis sedan has been unveiled today at the Chicago Auto Show. One of the major updates for this year is the introduction of the 2012 Hyundai Genesis R-Spec flagship model. This model is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine equipped with a high-pressure direct injection system (over 2200 psi). The 2012 Hyundai Genesis features a more aggressive front fascia, and grille, new headlights with LED daytime running lights, sportier rocker panels and folding mirrors with integrated puddle lamps. Aston Martin has announced the new V8 Vantage S, which is available in both coupe and roadster models. The Vantage S’ 4.7-liter V8 engine delivers 430HP and 490Nm (361 lb-ft) of peak torque, representing an increase of 10HP and 20Nm respectively. The V8 is coupled to a new 7-speed Sportshift II gearbox, which has shorter gear ratios and is 20% quicker than the V8 Vantage’s standard 6-speed Sporshift. Ford today unveiled the new 2011 Ford Fiesta WRC with its new color scheme. This car is based on the Fiesta S2000 rally car that managed to win the Monte Carlo Rally in January 2010. The 2011 Ford Fiesta WRC is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, which is actually based on the company’s EcoBoost road vehicle engine.
